Sociology
Overview
WVC offers several sociology courses to help you fulfill the social sciences requirement (15 credits) for the associate of arts-direct transfer (AA-DTA) degree. Courses include sociology of women, race and ethnicity, sport, and family, as well as introductions to sociology and social work, and social problems. In addition, students may develop individual interests through independent studies. Special courses designed to deal with unique subjects or timely topics are occasionally offered.
