Tamra Jackson
Tamra Jackson, Trustee
Tamra Jackson was appointed to Wenatchee Valley College's Board of Trustees in 2012.
Tamra has served as Bridgeport High School's principal since 2009 and has taught English
for over 32 years. She received the 2014-2016 America Achieves National Fellowship
from the Washington Association of Agricultural Educators, the 2015 Administrator
of the year award, and the AdvancED 2015 Excellence in Education Award. Tamra was
also selected as the Distinguished League Principal of the Year for the Central Washington
"B" League in 2011-12, and as a White House Champion of Change in Education. From
2009-10, she served as Teacher Ambassador Fellow for the U.S. Department of Education.
Her community service is extensive and she is also a member of the Writing Assessment
Leadership Team for Washington state, and a volunteer EMT for the Bridgeport Volunteer
Fire and Ambulance.
