Clint Strand
Clint Strand
Executive Director of the WVC Foundation
Clint Strand’s entire career has been devoted to making the communities he’s a part of better.
After earning degrees in journalism and political science at Gonzaga University, Clint informed and entertained our community as the news and music director of one of the
most unique stations in the nation, KOHO 101. While there, Strand mixed local news and interviews with a music blend mingling the familiar with new
finds and instant favorites. While there, Strand developed relationships with many of the drivers shaping positive change in Wenatchee
and North Central Washington.
Strand took those skills honed over the years and started the second half of his career in
marketing and public relations, first for Confluence Health, and then west up Highway
2 in Leavenworth at Cascade Medical. There, he served those communities by informing,
offering breaking news and critical calls to action during the COVID epidemic, and
acting as the connective tissue internally for organizational communications.
Now, Strand gets to marry his deep roots in community connections with his passion for storytelling
at the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation, where his team works hard to provide equitable
access to education while providing opportunities for investment in student success
through philanthropy.
Strand also serves his upper valley community as a Leavenworth City Councilperson, now in
his third term. When not at work, Strand loves spending his time with his beautiful wife, daughters, and golden retriever (also,
yes, a girl), patrolling the internet to find good additions to his vintage jazz record
collection, and the occasional jog with his four-legged running buddy.
